On Sunday evening, a 59-year-old man was killed after he crashed his motorcycle into a guardrail in the small town of Gorst near Bremerton.
Troopers and medics actively responded to the crash scene, along southbound State Route 3 at the interchange with State Route 16, at around 8 p.m. On arrival, officials found the motorcyclist, a 59-year-old Gig Harbor man, dead.
As per initial reports, the man lost control of his motorcycle along the curve on SR-3 and hit a guardrail. The impact threw the rider off his bike, while the motorcycle kept going across SR-16 before coming to a stop on the westbound shoulder. The driver was wearing a helmet.
