On Saturday morning, a 25 year-old man lost his life following a motorcycle accident on Silver Lake Road.
The fatal incident took place moments before 2:30 a.m. in the area of Silver Lake Road, East of Bagpipe Circle. Reno Fire Department, REMSA and Reno Police actively responded to the crash scene after getting the news of a traffic crash. On arrival, officials found a 25 year-old man down and unresponsive.
Authorities performed life-saving efforts on the man, but he was later declared dead on the scene. The name of the motorcyclist has not been revealed at this time. Officials shut down both eastbound and westbound lanes of Silver Lake Road between Bagpipe Circle and Peppermint Way for investigation, but reopened the roads at 7:25 a.m.
The incident remains under review.
