A man dead after getting struck twice while crossing Bandera Road (San Antonio, TX)

On Wednesday night, a man lost his life after being hit twice on the West Side.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at about 9:40 p.m in the 2000 block of Bandera Road, close to Sherril Brook Road. The early reports showed that truck was heading north on Bandera when he struck the man. The man was sent into the opposite lanes due to the impact.

The driver of the truck left the scene after the collision. Afterwards, a car going south struck the man again. However, the driver of that car remained at the scene after the accident. The man was declared deceased on the scene by EMS officials. A search is underway to track down the hit-and-run motorist.

The incident remains under active review.
