Injuries were reported following a wreck Tuesday evening on I-880 in Hayward.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run accident was reported on Interstate Highway 880 North at the W Tennyson Road onramp in Hayward at 7:38 p.m. The early reports indicated that around four to five vehicles were involved in the collision and at least one caught fire.
Police are currently looking for the occupant of a silver Nissan that left the scene on foot. The suspect was described by the authorities as dark skinned male wearing jeans and a gray hoodie. Officials said that someone took a video of the man who ran away from the scene on foot. Three lanes were closed down, leaving only the express lane open. No other details are available.
