A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian near downtown Pasco (Pasco, WA)

On Tuesday night, one person suffered injuries after being struck by a car near downtown Pasco.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run accident took place at 5:20 PM in the intersection of 8th and Lewis. The preliminary investigation showed that a man was crossing Lewis and got hit by a silver, 4-door BMW Sedan that was going east on Lewis. Officials reported that the man was conscious when they arrived.

Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. The car fled from the scene after hitting the pedestrian. Witnesses informed the officers that the silver BMW also had silver wheels and a shattered windshield due to the impact. The license plate might start with the letters ‘BJJ’, officials said.

The incident remains under active review.
