On early Sunday morning, a bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Atlantic Boulevard and Brightwood Street.
The authorities responded to the area of Atlantic Boulevard and Brightwood Street after getting information of the hit-and-run accident at 12:12 a.m. on August 22. The initial reports showed that a truck or a sport-utility vehicle traveling south on the Atlantic struck the bicyclist.
The police described the suspect vehicle as either a white Toyota Sequoia or a white Toyota Tundra possibly with a camper shell over the truck bed. They also mentioned that it should have damage to the front end on the passenger’s side. The extent on injuries sustained by the bicyclist is unknown at this time.
The crash remains under active review.
