A hit-and-run crash injured a 32-year-old woman in Darrington (Darrington, WA)

On early Monday, a 32-year-old Darrington woman sustained major injuries after a hit-and-run accident in Darrington.

According to the officers, the woman was traveling west in a Toyota Camry at about 12:54 a.m. At the same time, another driver, in a BMW 550, was driving at a high rate of speed, veered into the oncoming Highway 530 lane and crashed into her car.

The driver of the BMW ran away from the scene after the collision. On arrival, paramedics transported the Darrington woman to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, and her injuries were not considered life-threatening. The identity of the woman has not been released as of this moment.

An investigation is continuing at this time.
