A hit-and-run accident seriously injured a woman on 4300 Cypress Avenue (El Monte, CA)

On Wednesday afternoon, a hit-and-run accident left a woman in serious condition on 4300 Cypress Avenue in El Monte.

As per reports, the incident took place in the 4300 block of Cypress Avenue at around 3:15 p.m. On arrival, officers found a woman who had been seriously hit by the hit-and-run vehicle. Responders rushed her to Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center in critical, but stable condition.

Bystanders described the vehicle to the authorities and, as a result, investigators successfully tracked the suspect into his home. As of now, the authorities suspect that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of crash. They have not confirmed anything yet as an investigation is continuing at this time.

“We’re going to have to ascertain if the person was under the influence of alcohol at the time. While driving the motor vehicle and striking the pedestrian, or when they were home,” Cano said. At this point of time, the authorities have not released the identity of the suspect.
