On Sunday, a woman was hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a car on the East Side.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run accident took place at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday along Foster Meadows near Sinclair Road. The preliminary reports showed that the woman was getting into her vehicle when the driver of a white BMW slammed into her car and struck her as well.
The BMW driver then fled form the scene. On arrival, first responders immediately took the woman to the hospital with critical injuries. Authorities are actively searching for the involved driver who hit the woman. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
