A hit and run accident killed 32-year-old Paul Rogers in Bossier Parish (Plain Dealing, LA)

On Tuesday, just before 8:00 a.m., Troopers assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop G started looking into a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian crash took the life of 32-year-old Paul Rogers of Plain Dealing.

The preliminary investigation report reveals that an unknown vehicle was heading eastbound on LA Hwy 2, west of LA Hwy 3. For unknown reasons, the vehicle drove off the roadway and struck Rogers, who was walking in the grassy area next to the road.

The vehicle did not stop and went on going eastbound on LA Hwy 2, escaping from the scene. Rogers suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. Troopers are actively following leads relating to the driver and vehicle involved in this deadly pedestrian crash.

The incident remains under active review.
