A hit-and-run accident hurt a truck driver on Highway 101 and Main Street (Santa Maria, CA)

On Tuesday afternoon, a truck driver sustained minor injuries following a hit-and-run accident on Highway 101 and Main Street.

The incident took place just before 3:00 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 191, near the E Main Street off-ramp. The California Highway Patrol said that the crash involved a car and a truck. The collision led to the closure of one lane and left the truck on its side.

The truck driver received minimal injuries as a result of the crash. The suspected vehicle that struck the truck left the scene. However, the Santa Maria police later took the hit-and-run driver in custody. By 3:30 p.m., the authorities reopened all lanes for traffic.

The crash remains under investigation.
