On Tuesday night, an elderly man lost his life following a head-on crash in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.
Officers actively responded to the area of Rancho Drive and Gowan Road at around 6:15 p.m. after getting reports of a two-vehicle accident. The preliminary investigation showed that a Chrysler 300 was traveling on the wrong side of the road on Rancho at Michael Way when it collided head-on with a Ford F-150.
The driver of the Chrysler suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. The driver of the Ford did not receive any injuries and remained at the scene after the crash. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
