On early Monday morning, four people lost their lives and one suffered major injuries following a head-on accident on US 93.
The fatal incident took place at around 12:30 a.m. wherein a car and a big rig were involved. According to Arizona Department of Public Safety officials, the car veered into the path of the semi-truck on U.S. 93 northwest of Wickenburg.
Officers declared the driver and the three passengers in the car deceased. On arrival, medics rushed the fourth passenger to the hospital with serious injuries while the semi-truck driver received minimal injuries. The identities of the victims have not been revealed at this time.
The crash remains under active investigation.
