On Tuesday morning, 40-year-old Amber P Livingston, a resident of Walla Walla, was seriously injured following a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 12, according to regional law enforcement.
Amber P Livingston, 40, had to be airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, as per a crash report from WSP. As of Tuesday afternoon, her current condition remains unknown. Livingston was wearing a seat belt at the time of crash.
The highway was at least partially blocked for multiple hours as Livingston was tended to, troopers inspected the scene and highway crews did the clean-up. Reports revealed that Livingston was heading east just before 7 a.m. in a 2016 Ford F-350 between the highway’s intersections with Game Depot and Oasis roads, near Cameo Heights Mansion.
Livingston reportedly crossed over the center line and crashed into a 2007 Kenworth semi-truck driven by 63-year-old Brett J McCane of College Place head-on. Livingston’s pickup flipped over and landed upside down and McCane’s semi-truck smashed into a guardrail.
McCane was not hurt in the crash, according to the report. Both vehicles were wrecked and removed from the scene. According to the Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office, the highway had both lanes shut down for about two hours and had only one lane open until around 11:20 a.m.
An investigation is ongoing at this time.
