A fiery crash hospitalized two men in northeast Houston (Houston, TX)

Two men were rushed to a hospital, one with severe burns, after their vehicle plunged from a highway ramp and burst into flames.

As per the initial information, the incident took place just before 11 p.m. Tuesday near the Eastex Freeway and I-610. The preliminary reports showed that two men were in a vehicle attempting to go northbound on the Eastex Freeway from I-610 when the vehicle fell from the ramp.

The reports further revealed that the vehicle fell several feet and caught on fire. Metro officers who were near the scene assisted in pulling both men out of the vehicle. They were both immediately taken to the hospital. One man reportedly had severe burns and is listed in critical condition. Police were trying to find out the cause of the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
