Authorities responded to a deadly crash near Riverside in Okanogan County.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at about 3:30 pm on State Route 97, approximately 3 miles north of Riverside. At this time, it is unknown how many people died or if anyone were injured as a result of the wreck. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.
State Route 97 was fully blocked due to the collision. Both lanes were shut down while crews worked at the scene. According to the authorities, those intending to drive north through the crash area can use Hubbard Road as an alternate route, while southbound traffic can use Dixon Road. No other information is available.
An investigation is underway.
