On Tuesday afternoon, a fatal head-on crash involving a car and a semi-truck blocked U.S. 93 in both directions near Wickenburg.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the fiery incident took place at around noon. As per reports, the front of the semi-truck caught fire as a result of the crash and the charred remains of the truck and what appeared to be a car were scattered on the road. As of now, officials have not confirmed the cause of the crash or if impairment played a factor. Officers reopened U.S. 93 at about 6:45 p.m.
The authorities will continue to investigate the collision.
