On Tuesday afternoon, rescuers worked to remove a person who was pinned inside an overturned semi-truck on the 405 Freeway.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident took place near the Veterans Administration on the 405 at around 12:33 p.m. Officials released a statement that “Firefighters extricated the patient and are transporting to local trauma center in moderate condition,”
Reports revealed that the semi-truck struck a barrier as a result of which it flipped over. Officials shut down the eastbound Wilshire Boulevard exit and issued a SigAlert at about 1:15 p.m. The identity of the victim has not been revealed at this time.
The crash remains under active investigation.
