A DUI crash injured a cyclist on Victorian Avenue; Taurino Rodriguez-Munoz arrested (Sparks, NV)

On Saturday, a cyclist suffered injuries following a DUI accident on Victorian Avenue while police detained 44-year-old Taurino Rodriguez-Munoz.

According to the reports, Rodriguez-Munoz was eastbound on Victorian Avenue when he made an illegal U-turn and went into the westbound cyclist lane. A westbound cyclist hit Rodriguez-Munoz’s vehicle from behind. On arrival, officers found the cyclist on the ground with cuts and bruises. Medics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Officials detained Rodriguez-Munoz for driving under the influence and three other traffic violations. The motorist was cited for driving without a license, making an illegal U-turn and not having proof of insurance. The identity of the injured victim has not been released at this time.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
