A DUI accident kills 64-year-old Randy Mclean on State Route 4 (Cowlitz County, WA)

On Tuesday, 64-year-old Randy McLean, a resident of Kelso lost his life, while 45-year-old Jason Anderson, a resident of Longview suffered injuries in a DUI crash on State Route 4.

The incident took place at about 5:49 p.m. at milepost 52, west of Longview. Officers said that McLean was driving his vehicle eastbound on the freeway when he crossed the centerline and hit a westbound vehicle. On arrival, authorities declared McLean deceased.

Emergency crews took Anderson, the other vehicle’s driver to St. John’s Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. At this time, there is no information about Anderson’s condition. As per reports, both men were the sole occupants of their vehicles and they both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of collision. Officials believe that drugs or alcohol may have played a part in the fatal crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
