A drunk driver hit and injured a male pedestrian in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood (San Francisco, CA)

On Tuesday night, a male pedestrian suffered injuries after being hit by an intoxicated driver in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood.

Officers actively responded to the crash scene at about 8:36 p.m. to the area of 23rd and DeHaro Streets. Police reported that the pedestrian was identified as a male in his 30s. On arrival, emergency crews rushed the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Authorities arrested the driver of the involved vehicle. According to the officers, the driver and a female passenger seemed to be extremely intoxicated. The passenger was also detained for allegedly interfering and resisting, police mentioned.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
