On Wednesday afternoon, a driver experiencing a medical-related episode slammed her car into a Clairemont bank, causing injuries to a bank worker inside the branch, San Diego Police said.
The incident took place just after 11 a.m. at the Mission Federal Credit Union location in the 4200 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a 31-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Honda Accord while going westbound on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when she lost control of the car after experiencing a medical-related episode.

The woman had a broken right foot and cuts to her left foot. She was transported to the hospital by the paramedics for treatment. The driver along with her two child passengers — ages 2 and 5 – remained unharmed following the collision. Details regarding the driver’s medical issue were not revealed.
