On early Saturday morning, a wrong-way crash claimed life of person on westbound Interstate 8 in the Lakeside Area.
The incident happened at around 2 a.m. west of Dunbar Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol. On arrival, medics rushed the wrong-way driver to Sharp Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a videographer at the scene. Other vehicles on the highway allegedly hit debris and a SigAlert was declared. Authorities have not revealed the identities of the victims and other details regarding the accident.
The crash is under review.
