There were reports of a deadly crash that forced the closure of the southbound lanes on US 90 Alternate Thursday near Missouri City.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place on the alternate route to U.S. 90 at Cravens Road. The accident was reported at 10:04 a.m. It is not clear how many people died and how many people were injured as a result of the crash.
There were major traffic delays in both directions while crews responded. The early reports indicated that a silver Chevy sedan was wedged under a yellow Penske moving truck following the collision. The southbound U.S. 90 Alternate near Missouri City was later opened again after they remained closed for hours. The scene was cleared by 2:38 p.m. No other details are available.
