A crash that involved several vehicles sent one person to a hospital in north Houston.
Emergency crews are actively working to clear the crash site on the southbound lanes of the North Freeway involving multiple vehicles. Houston police tell that the crash was reported at about 4:13 p.m. at North Shepherd on I-45. Officials say that wreck involved at least four to five vehicles and one person was transported to the hospital. As of now, it is unknown what caused the crash. Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area, as officials do not know how long crews will take to clear the wreckage.
An investigation is underway.
