On Friday morning, an 18-wheeler crash led to the closure of lanes in Lufkin.
As per the initial information, the traffic collision took place on U.S. 59, just north of Loop 287. The early reports showed that the crash involves a lost load of lumber. According to the officials, a medical helicopter responded to the crash site.
At this time, it is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. All lanes of U.S. 59 just north of Loop 287 were shut down as crews worked at the scene. One southbound lane would be opened soon, authorities said. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
