On Tuesday night, two pedestrians were hospitalized with major injuries after they were hit in a chain-reaction crash in east Vancouver.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the intersection of Southeast 164th Avenue and 34th Street in Fisher’s Landing at 10:09 p.m. after getting reports of a traffic collision. The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle disregarded a red light and T-boned a C-Tran bus.
After fifteen minutes, another vehicle drove over emergency reflectors and crashed into an assisting vehicle from behind. The impact pushed the assisting vehicle into the two pedestrians. On arrival, medics rushed the pedestrians to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
