A car vs. motorcycle collision claimed the life of 29-year-old David Baker near Abilene (Abilene, TX)

On Monday evening, 29-year-old David Baker lost his life following a two-vehicle crash near Abilene.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal incident took place on the 5200 block of Laguna Drive. As per the initial reports, David Baker was heading westbound on a 2007 Kawasaki dirt bike when he ran a stop sign at the Presidio Street intersection. Baker’s bike then collided with a Mercedes Benz going south on Presidio Street.

The force of the crash threw Baker from his motorcycle. On arrival, paramedics rushed him to a hospital but he died of his injuries at the hospital. Officers said that Baker was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the Mercedes remains unharmed after the crash.

The authorities will continue to investigate the crash.
