On Saturday, a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle on I-85 S, close to Metropolitan Avenue.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to a “person down” call a little before 8:30 p.m. On arrival, emergency responders found the man in the roadway and he seemed to have been struck by a car, according to the reports.
The man was rushed to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The identity of the injured victim remains unknown at this time. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the auto-pedestrian crash remains under investigation.
