On Wednesday, a 25-year-old motorcyclist sustained injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Hesperia Road.
The incident took place at around 8:48 p.m. According to officials, a white 2006 Toyota Solara driver was traveling south on Hesperia Road and took a left turn into the Rustic Tavern parking lot. On making the turn, the driver came into the path of a northbound motorcycle on Hesperia Road following which both vehicles collided with each other.
The impact of the crash threw the motorcyclist off his bike and the victim suffered moderate leg injuries. On arrival, emergency crews airlifted him to a trauma center and his condition is unknown at this time. Police mentioned that the Solara driver parked the car at the business and ran on foot.
An investigation is underway.
