  • A car rolls over on State Route 290 after driver falls asleep (Spokane Valley, WA)

On early Saturday morning, a driver fell asleep at the wheel and suffered injuries following a single-vehicle crash on State Route 290.

According to a Washington State Patrol, the incident took place near N. Campbell Road. The driver crossed over the opposite side of the highway and drove into the ditch. The impact caused the car to be rolled as a result of which the unrestrained driver was ejected from the vehicle. On arrival, emergency crews took the driver to Sacred Heart with unknown injuries. Officials charged the driver with negligent driving.

The authorities will continue to investigate the crash.
