The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle accident that occurred in San Juan, north of Prunedale on Wednesday. The officials confirmed that one person was killed in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victim has been identified as a 67-year-old Salinas man.
According to the officials, the cause for the crash is that the victim was driving a Chrysler Town and Country van that was crossing over a double yellow line and hitting a Chevrolet Express van. There were 12 passengers in the Express in addition to the driver when it was hit. As a result of the crash out of the 12 passengers, one reported having pain.
The vehicles involved in the crash were not identified yet. The events leading up to this collision are not yet known. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
