A 65-Year-Old Woman Was Killed In A Bicycle Accident In Santa Clara County (Santa Clara County, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a 65-year-old woman was killed in a bicycle accident on Tuesday near the northeast of Gilroy. 

A 65-year-old woman from Gilroy when riding the bicycle southbound on Roop north of Leavesley, a huge branch of a tree dropped, striking her down. Eventually, the woman got stuck under the branch. 

She was transported to the Regional Medical Center in San Jose immediately. Unfortunately, her injuries were critical and she succumbed to them. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The identity of the woman is not disclosed yet. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no further details available at the moment.
