A 65-year-old man was left in a hospital in critical condition after he was hit by a car while crossing a street in Pasadena on Wednesday evening.
As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash happened at around 7:15 p.m. along Corson Street, between Hudson and Lake Avenues. According to the eyewitnesses, the man, described as a Pasadena resident, was trying to walk north across Corson Street when he was struck by a vehicle.
One vehicle veered to avoid the man, but the driver of a second car could not avoid a collision. The driver of the involved Ford Mustang stayed at the scene, and no crime was initially suspected. On arrival, medics rushed the severely injured man to a hospital, where he was listed in grave condition on Thursday.
The crash remains under investigation.
