The Elk Grove Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash that killed a 63-year-old woman on Thursday.
On Thursday roughly at 1:30 a.m., a 64-year-old woman driving a Dodge truck the wrong way on Westbound Elk Grove Boulevard. She then drove into the centre median and hit a tree.
The woman was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The investigations show that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt. The identity of the woman is not yet revealed.
Alcohol appears to have played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
