According to the Medical Examiner’s office, a 54-year-old motorist was fatally injured in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on the 605 freeway in Lakewood.
Stephen Brandt, a CHP officer, reported that around 8:14 p.m. On Sunday, a motorist was involved in a 7-vehicle crash on the Southbound San Gabriel River Freeway at Caron Street. The 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The details of the identity of the motorist are not revealed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
