A 52-year-old man died after a single-vehicle crash on I-96 near Brighton (Brighton, MI)

On Tuesday, a 52-year-old Novi man lost his life following a single-vehicle crash on I-96 near Brighton in Livingston County.

The preliminary reports showed that the 52-year-old man was traveling westbound near Kensington Rd., just after 7:30 a.m. when the vehicle swerved off the freeway for reasons that are yet to be known. Troopers and EMS actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, declared the man deceased.

The reports further stated that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No further information has been made public.

The incident remains under review.
