The Texas Department Of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Rusk County on Saturday evening. According to the DPS report, the accident happened on County Road 485, 8.5 miles south of Henderson at around 4 p.m.
A 39-year-old Polaris Ranger driver attempted to stop one of the two young passengers from exiting the ATV but overcorrected, flipping the vehicle and ejecting the boy.
According to a report, the boy was declared dead at the scene. Neither the driver nor a passenger aged nine was hurt when the car rolled over.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. There are no other details available at this time.
