On Saturday, a 47-year-old Warren man lost his life after he slammed his vehicle into a bridge pillar on I-94.
As per the initial information, troopers were sent to the area of eastbound I-94 at about 3:00 am Saturday on reports of a single-vehicle crash. On arrival, Troopers saw a box truck in the median that had struck a bridge pillar. The investigation reports showed that the cab of the car was wrecked due to the impact of the crash.
The EMS rushed the 47-year-old driver to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased. Authorities believe that alcohol may have contributed to the accident; however, it will be clear once a medical examination is completed.
An investigation is ongoing.
