A 46-year-old man died after being run down by a bulldozer in Isabella County (Shepherd, MI)

A 46-year-old man, of Michigan, lost his life after being run down by a bulldozer in Shepherd.

As per the initial information, the tragic incident took place at WDS Enterprises on East Blanchard Road in Isabella County’s Coe Township at 7:35 a.m. on Tuesday. When police arrived at the scene, they saw a 46-year-old Shepherd man receiving life saving measures from a co-worker.

The preliminary investigation showed that the man was run over by a bulldozer that he had just come out of when it went back into gear and began moving forward with no one inside. The bulldozer then hit multiple unoccupied semi-trailers, one of which was propelled into the roadway. The man was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. The accident did not cause injuries to anyone.

The Shepherd Police Department was provided support at the scene by the Shepherd Tri-Township Fire Department, Isabella County Sheriff’s Office, Mobile Medical Response, Michigan Occupational Safety & Health Administration and Isabella County Central Dispatch.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
