A 43-year-old Emily Marie Rangel lost her life after a vehicle hit her while she was jaywalking in Nacogdoches.
Police promptly reacted to the incident at around 6:35 p.m. on Monday in the 100 block of North Stallings Drive.
Emily Marie Rangel of Round Rock was passing through the street when a car struck her. Moreover, police found that she failed to use the crosswalk and walked into the way of the 2007 Kia Passenger car.
Then, medics rushed Rangel to a local hospital where she later died. However, the driver did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
Also, Nacogdoches Police Department’s Traffic Unit is looking into the accident.
