A 38-year-old Canton woman killed after a two-vehicle accident at Ford and Canton Center (Canton, MI)

On Monday morning, a 38-year-old Canton woman lost her life while a 46-year-old Canton man suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Canton.

As per the initial information, a BMW heading west on Ford crashed into a Toyota at the intersection on Canton Center Road a little before 8 a.m. The force of the crash caused the BMW to strike a traffic light pole. The woman driving the BMW succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

On arrival, paramedics transported a 46-year-old man, who was in the Toyota to a hospital with non-critical injuries. Officers believe that drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the fatal accident.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
