A 27-year-old woman died after a single-vehicle crash in San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

On Monday, a 27-year-old woman was found dead inside her car which had crashed into a building just west of downtown San Antonio.

The fatal incident took place before 3 a.m. in the 1800 block of S. Laredo Street. Initial reports showed that her car slammed into the loading dock at Mission City Container Inc. Rescuers had to cut out the window of the car to reach the 27-year-old woman. Emergency crews worked to save her, but she did not survive.

It is unknown at this time that how the vehicle ran into the building, but the markings that officers made on the ground indicated that her car veered across the street. It seems that she had been traveling west on S. Laredo when her car went into the eastbound lanes, then ended up across the street where it struck the loading dock. The business was not open at the time of the collision.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
