1 Person Severely Injured After A Hit-And-Run Crash In Boyle Heights (Los Angeles, CA)

Los Angeles Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run crash that severely injured a person in Boyle Heights.

According to LAPD, Luis Lopez was riding his electric scooter along Fickett avenue when he swerved to avoid a car. 

He lost control of the bike and was ejected from the e-bike and was left unconscious.

Later, Lopez was dragged down the street for about 25 feet by a white Ford Econoline cargo van. 

Lopez was rushed to a hospital. His injuries were reported to be severe and were admitted into the intensive care unit. 

According to the police, he is expected to make a full recovery. 

A video posted on social media by the departments shows the moment Lopez was hit. 

The e-bike accident is under investigation.
