Authorities identified 22-year-old Kolby Warren as the man who lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on Thursday evening in Slidell.
Officers actively responded to the area of Olive Drive and Peachtree Street just after 10 p.m. in response to a motorcycle crash. The early reports showed that a motorcycle ran into a house. On arrival, responders found the motorcycle rider, 22-year-old Kolby Warren, unresponsive.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the officials. Reports further added that Warren was traveling at a high rate of speed on Olive Drive when he failed to maintain control of the bike, causing him to crash.
The incident did not lead to any other injuries. Investigators suspect impairment might have been involved in the accident. Toxicology samples were taken for testing. No other details are immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
