On Sunday, two people lost their lives following a multi-vehicle accident in North Las Vegas.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Cheyenne and Mary Dee at about 5:30 p.m., after getting reports of a crash in which an SUV and three motorcycles were involved. The preliminary investigation indicated that two of the motorcycle riders went over the center median when one of the motorcyclists crashed into an oncoming SUV, and the other hit a metal pole.

Both the riders were declared dead by the officials. The third biker and driver of the SUV were rushed to UMC hospital for non-fatal injuries. All three motorcycle riders were between 40-50 years old. The driver of the car is in the age range of 30-40. Speed is believed to be a factor on part of the motorcyclists. Cheyenne was shut down in both directions from Civic to Carrol as crews worked at the scene. Drivers were asked to avoid the area. No other details are available.
