On Saturday, three people received injuries following a multi-vehicle accident on US 101, just north of Hoodsport.

The incident happened at around 4:20 p.m. in which three vehicles were involved. According to the reports, a 28-year-old Hoodsport driver was southbound on U.S. 101 while a 60-year-old Hoquiam driver and a 48-year-old Port Angeles driver were northbound on the same highway.

Officers mentioned that the Hoodsport driver crossed over the center line and sideswiped the Hoquiam driver’s vehicle. Then, it crashed head-on into the Port Angeles driver’s vehicle. The Hoquiam and Port Angeles drivers suffered injuries. On arrival, medics transported them to Mason General Hospital in Shelton.

The Hoodsport driver was also hurt but was not hospitalized. The Hoodsport driver might face a possible charge of second-degree negligent driving. Officers reported that a fourth person was involved in the collision, but no additional details are available at this time.

The incident remains under review.
