95-Year-Old Woman Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Harris County (Harris County, TX)

Houston police are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 101 East 14th Street around 3:35 p.m. on Monday, February 19. The identity of the deceased female victim, aged 95, is awaiting verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to reports from the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division, a silver Chevrolet Suburban traveling westbound at the aforementioned address had a green light at the intersection of Heights Boulevard. However, while making a left turn to proceed southbound on Heights Blvd., the vehicle struck a female pedestrian who was crossing Heights Blvd. in the crosswalk.

Despite being transported to a hospital, the woman succumbed to her injuries in the pedestrian accident. The 52-year-old female driver was questioned and showed no signs of intoxication. She was released pending further investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time as investigations continue.
