90-year-old man dead after a two-vehicle collision in La Jolla (San Diego, CA)

On Saturday afternoon, a 90-year-old man, riding a motorized scooter, lost his life following a traffic collision in La Jolla.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on La Jolla Boulevard and Rosemont Street at about 4:30 p.m. The early reports showed that a vehicle, driven by an 80-year-old woman hit the scooter rider for undetermined reasons. The woman was traveling north on La Jolla Boulevard when the incident occurred.

On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the man to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene after the accident. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
