9-Year-Old Girl Killed In A Motor Vehicle Accident In Grant County (Grant County, WA)

In a tragic accident in Grant County early Monday morning, a 9-year-old girl from Othello lost her life. The motor vehicle accident occurred on Road U Southeast, approximately five miles south of Warden, around 5:45 a.m.

The mother, who was driving the pickup truck with the cruise control engaged, lost control on an icy patch. This led to the vehicle rolling over. The child was ejected during the rollover. She was fatally injured due to the collision. Despite CPR efforts by the mother and first responders, she was pronounced dead in the fatal crash.

The mother and two other siblings, aged ten and seven, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake. The identity of the victims is not yet known at this time.
